  • Sensory Friendly Zone: No Lights or Sirens Main St Between Hall & Walnut

  • Restrooms & Parking: Phoenixville Recreation Center

DOGWOOD Parade Rules

Ensuring A Fun Time For All

Rules
  1. All parade entries must be in-line, in their designated zone by 12:15pm on Saturday, May 21st.

  2. No candy or other objects may be thrown. Candy may only be distributed by walking parade participants.

  3. A driver must remain with each vehicle in the line-up area at all times.

  4. Alcoholic beverages are forbidden in line-up, on any float, in any vehicle or on the person of any participant. Participants consuming alcohol prior to parade start will not be permitted in the parade and any person consuming alcohol during the parade will be removed from parade.

  5. No political advertisements/endorsements are permitted. Current elected officials are permitted to enter the parade.

  6. No advertisements on behalf of a second party are permitted, marketing companies are welcome to join, but they must promote only themselves and not their clients.

  7. The parade must be kept in a continuous forward motion at all times. This is to avoid gaps being created. Please attempt to maintain 100 ft. between you and the unit in front of you.

  8. Participants must complete the parade route.

  9. No excessive revving of vehicle engines, squealing of tires, blowing of air horns, racing, driving erratically, or hot-rodding.

  10. Live animals must wear waste catchers or be followed by a clean up crew for waste removal.

  11. Any participant operating a motorized vehicle in the parade must possess a valid driver’s license. The committee reserves the right to ask for proper identification.

 

If any of the above rules are not adhered to, you will be removed from the parade. It is the Parade Committee’s intention for all, including participants and spectators, to have a safe and fun evening.
